Datum

Support

Help for invited testers using Datum in Rhino. Datum is currently a private beta and no public release has been published.

Datum does not appear

Confirm that you are using Rhino 8.21 or newer and that Datum.Rhino is enabled in Rhino's Plug-in Manager. Restart Rhino after installing a local beta build, then run the Datum command.

The panel was closed

Run the Datum command again. Rhino restores the panel at its last floating size and location. If Datum is docked, the command brings its existing tab forward instead of opening a duplicate.

A new Rhino document looks empty

Conversations belong to the Rhino document in which they began. A new document opens a fresh Datum conversation; returning to the earlier document restores its conversation.

A model change needs to be reversed

Use Rhino's normal Undo command once immediately after a Datum model change. Datum groups each completed AI edit into one Rhino undo record. Save important work before testing and review the viewport before continuing.

  • Rhino 8.21 or newer on macOS or Windows is required.
  • Access is limited to invited testers; there is no public download yet.
  • Datum's output is AI-assisted. Check geometry in the viewport and independently verify work before relying on it for a project.
  • Conversations are document-specific and do not follow you into a different Rhino document.

Use the private contact path included with your invitation. A useful report includes your operating system, Rhino version, Datum version shown in Plug-in Manager, short reproduction steps, what you expected, what happened, and whether Rhino Undo restored the model.

Keep private material out of reports.

Do not send your prompt, Datum's model response, provider API keys, invitation codes, payment credentials, or unredacted project files. Redact screenshots before sharing them.

If you were not given a private contact path, public support intake is not open yet. See the contact status.
